i am confused! i have a L-156 tractor. L-156 ser 177738, my question is they list this as a 1966 model, also its a three speed but the manual on here lists all rangers as 4 speeds. and the motor is a h50 tecumesh all though that could have been changed. any help would be great. thanks david Very Happy

Go to this Toro web page:

and search on "L-156" (without quotes) and you will be presented with all the original as-manufactured information for that machine.

The original engine was a Tecumseh H60-75117E, the "4-Speed" refers to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear, plus reverse.
