Test switch function?

Having just got my 414-8 I can't believe I actually want the grass to grow!\r\n\r\nCan someone tell me the function of the "test" switch on the panel?\r\nI've searched a lot and came up empty.\r\n\r\nAlso is there a Link to a manual, where you can actually read what the parts are in the pictures?\r\n\r\nBeing as I have the Wheel Horse and a Troy-bilt Horse tiller, does that make a herd? And me a Rancher? lol

Indicator light test switch is used to check light bulbs and electrical circuits. Actuate test switch to turn lights "0n" or "Flashing": if one or more lights are out check wiring and replace bulb if necessary as outlined in "Maintenance" section of the manual below.\r\n\r\nIf PTO clutch or clutch pedal light is on when attempting to start engine, check that control is in proper position for starting. Thanks for the link to the manual. It's a lot clearer than the last one I downloaded
